Founder of the M.O.O.C.

The founding.

  • On March 28, 1950, a number of CPO's and WO's gathered in the old Navy canteen in the navy town of Den Helder, under the supervision of boatswain A.C. Hoes.
    It was decided to establish the Marine Onderofficieren Club (M.O.O.C). A preliminary board was elected. At the same time 36 CPO's and WO's took membership of this new club.
  • On April 11 thereafter, the first general assembly was held. The attendance was very good. During this assembly a permanent board was elected. This board consisted of the following 11 persons:
